International SO-HAM
What are the So-Ham exercises?
The So-Ham exercise is a special technique that was designed in order to help people get mental balance, improve their abilities and their mental and physical strength.
This method was developed by Sage Narada, a spiritual teacher and a Naturopathic doctor, and is practiced in Israel with great success.
The origin of the So-Ham exercises is the Yoga, but it comes to deal with the mental state. It is Mental Yoga.
It combines Movement, Awareness and Statement – to create a whole practice that leads to transformation, growth and balance.
The practice includes 3 sets of simple movements that can be performed by anyone. The movements are accompanied by statements and affirmations.
Each movement in the So-Ham exercises represents a certain mental aspect.
The exercises are simple and can be practiced by anyone, anywhere and at any time.
The entire practice takes only 7 minutes a day, but the effect of it remains for a long time.
In today’s world, an employee has to deal with a great deal of stress, pressure, long working hours and tight schedules, and still maintain creativity, alertness, patience and innovation.
The So-Ham exercises are the answer to those needs.
A practice of 7 minutes that leaves you fresh and calm and helps you to overcome any obstacle that may come on your way.
What are the benefits of the So-Ham exercises?
Mental Balance
Mental balance is the ability to witness and control one’s thoughts, words and actions. This leads to:
Clarity and concentration – There are fewer obstructions when we are in a balanced state, and even when a disturbance comes on our way, we have the tools to neutralize it.
Removes stress and anxieties
Increases the efficiency, reduces tiredness
Better communication and better results
Being one with the action
When a person does an action, but his mind wonders around in other places, he cannot be fully concentrated on the action he does.
This causes disturbances. The worker will find it difficult to concentrate on his work, and he will be exposed to mistakes and accidents.
One of the benefits of the So-Ham exercises is that the practitioner can experience the relationship between the mind and the movement and the awareness of the unity between them.
This leads to the same awareness of unity in every action a person does. Such a person will be focused, efficient and highly creative and will be able to fulfill his goals with perfection.
Learning to reach perfection in each action
In the So-Ham exercises one is required to do each movement with great accuracy and attention. Each flaw in the movement, even the tiniest one, points out some kind of mental imbalance.
By practicing thus, one learns to pay attention to details, and to strive to perfection.
